Wicker Log Baskets

Our stunning range of wicker log baskets offers a storage solution for every home, no matter your decor style. Choosing the right log basket for you will depend on a range of factors, like size, shape, and colour.

For example, if your home has a modern, clean feel, our grey rattan log baskets are perfect, or go for an antique wash finish if your home leans more traditional. If you’re limited on space, try one of our smaller options, or pick out a set if you’re looking for continuity throughout the room.

Measure the space beside your fireplace and consider how often you replenish your logs. Smaller baskets are useful for kindling or occasional fires, while larger baskets offer more room for regular firewood storage. Check each product's dimensions, including the handles.

Many wicker log baskets are designed for carrying and storing logs, but suitability depends on the individual basket's construction and handles. Avoid overloading and check the product details before carrying heavy loads.

Wicker describes a weaving technique, while rattan is a material. Many traditional wicker log baskets are woven from willow, while rattan options provide different textures and finishes. Compare the materials listed on individual products.

They can provide convenient firewood storage in a suitable fireside location, but wicker is combustible. Always follow your stove manufacturer's minimum clearance requirements and keep baskets away from hot surfaces, sparks and embers.

A hessian-lined log basket can help contain bark and small wood fragments, keeping the surrounding floor tidier. Unlined baskets offer a traditional woven appearance. Both are suitable options depending on your preferences.

Remove loose bark and dust using a soft brush or vacuum brush attachment. For marks, wipe gently with a lightly dampened cloth and allow the basket to dry thoroughly. Avoid soaking the woven material.

We understand that keeping yourself warm with a nice log fire may not be something you do year-round, but this doesn’t have to mean your Northern Willow log basket has to sit unused and empty.

Our wicker log baskets are made to last, so they can be used for several purposes around your home. Here are just a few of our ideas for using your log basket all year round:

• Living Room: If you don’t have space for an additional blanket basket, you can use your log basket to store throws and blankets in the living room.
• Hallway: The hessian lining that features in some of our log baskets makes for easy cleaning, which is ideal for storing muddy wellies or shoes in your hallway, as well as dog toys, laundry, or towels.
• Garden: Our larger rattan log baskets can be used outside in the summer months as planters, providing the loveliest home for your flowers and foliage.
• Festive Decor: Place the base of your Christmas tree in one of our taller log baskets to add extra charm, or fill it with gifts when Santa visits!

Like the rest of our products, our log baskets are easy to clean and maintain. All you need is a microfibre cloth, water, and some washing-up liquid.

Start by gently brushing out any debris from your basket, and use a damp cloth to clean the more stubborn spots. Then, leave the basket to air dry fully to prevent damage.
