This antique wash domed storage hamper is a full willow hamper with a domed hinged lid, grey faux leather buckled straps and integral handles. The small measures 56 x 46 cm and stands 30 to 35 cm tall, weighing 2.2 kg. It takes blankets, toys, linen and living room clutter.

The dome is the whole point of the shape. A flat-lidded hamper stops being useful once it is full to the rim; a domed one carries the extra above the line of the sides, which is what makes it suit bedding and blankets rather than folded linen.

Why a domed lid?

It adds usable height without adding footprint. The sides stand 30 cm and the dome rises to 35 cm, so bulky things like a folded duvet or a pile of blankets still let the lid shut.

Can I stack anything on top of it?

No. A domed lid is not a flat surface, and it is not built to carry weight. If you need something to stack or sit on, a flat-lidded chest is the better choice.

How big is the large?

How should I look after it?

Keep it indoors and dry, and brush it out rather than washing it. The straps are faux leather and will mark if left damp.
