This 10 inch buff wicker hamper is a small lidded gift hamper basket, woven from full buff willow and fastened with a dark faux leather buckle. It measures 26 x 20 x 10 cm and weighs 300 g empty, which suits chocolates, cheeses, cigars or a piece of jewellery.

The lid hinges at the back and the buckle holds it down at the front. Ten centimetres of internal depth keeps the contents in one layer, so a filled hamper shows everything at once.

What will a 26 x 20 cm hamper actually hold?

Roughly a box of chocolates and two or three small jars, or a couple of wrapped cheeses. That is an estimate from the internal footprint rather than a measured pack, so tell us what you are filling it with and we will try it before you order.

Is the buckle just for show?

No. It fastens through a keeper on the front of the body and holds the lid closed while the hamper is carried or posted.

Is the willow treated in any way?

It is buff willow, which is a natural tan with nothing painted or lacquered over it. Keep it indoors and dry; it is not sealed, so it is not a basket for outdoors.
