Split white wash willow, a gingham lining and a faux leather handle and buckles make up this picnic hamper for two. Splitting the willow lengthways before weaving gives a flatter, finer wall and a lighter basket than whole willow. Red and white or blue and white.

Inside: porcelain plates, acrylic glasses, white handled cutlery, napkins and a wine opener, over a zipped chilled compartment. Acrylic glasses mean nothing in it breaks on a beach or at a festival, and the gingham and the trim change colour together, so the choice between the two is on looks alone.

FAQs

What is split willow?

Willow cut lengthways before they are woven, rather than used whole. It gives a flatter, finer weave and a lighter basket, which is why this one comes in at 1.8 kg with the service inside.

Are the glasses breakable?

No, they are acrylic. That is worth knowing if the hamper is heading to a beach, a festival or anywhere with children about.

Red or blue?

The willow, the fittings and the contents are the same in both. The gingham lining and the faux leather trim change colour together, so it is a straight choice on looks.

Does it come with a blanket?

No. This one carries the service and the chilled compartment only. Our Classic Picnic Blanket in the small size is 70 x 100 cm and pairs with it.
