This rectangular storage basket is woven from natural water hyacinth over a supportive metal frame, with a contrasting band of grey twisted paper cord around the upper rim. Integrated end handles complete the design, while the natural fibres and defined border create an understated decorative finish.

Suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and household shelving, the basket provides an attractive way to organise folded towels, craft materials, books and everyday accessories. Its medium-depth profile offers useful storage without concealing smaller belongings at the bottom of a particularly deep container.

What is the grey border made from?

The border is formed from twisted paper cord with a grey finish, woven around the upper edge of the basket. This creates a clear visual contrast with the natural water hyacinth beneath it. Both materials have a textured appearance that complements traditional and contemporary interiors.

How does this basket differ from the plain rectangular water hyacinth basket?

The main visual distinction is the contrasting grey border, which adds definition to the upper rim. There are also small differences in the published dimensions of the two ranges, so they should not be assumed to have identical measurements. Both use natural water hyacinth and a supporting metal framework.

Is this basket suitable for organising bathroom accessories?

Yes. It can be used to organise dry towels, folded cloths, toiletries and other bathroom accessories. However, natural water hyacinth and paper cord should not remain exposed to standing water or persistently damp conditions, so keep the basket away from splashes where possible.

Can I use the basket inside a wardrobe?

The rectangular form works well for organising folded accessories, spare textiles and other dry belongings on suitable wardrobe shelves. Measure the available space carefully and allow clearance above the basket to retrieve items comfortably.

How should I care for the grey paper border?

Remove surface dust with a soft brush or dry cloth, taking care around the twisted cord. Avoid saturating the border, as paper-based fibres can be affected by prolonged moisture. If the basket becomes damp, allow it to dry naturally in a ventilated space.
