This buff wicker hamper is a lidded willow hamper in seven sizes, from 12 to 24 inches, with a hinged lid. The 12 inch is 30 x 23 x 12 cm at 500 g; the 24 inch is 62 x 42 x 30 cm at 2.6 kg. It comes unlined or with a removable cotton lining, for gift hampers, packaging and storage.

Buff is willow boiled with the bark on and then stripped, which leaves it an even golden brown. The 12 and 14 inch use faux leather; the 16 inch upwards use dark brown leather, and the 22 inch has double real leather. Metal chains stay the lid on the 16, 18 and 20 inch.

Is the leather real?

It depends on the size. The 12 and 14 inch are fitted with faux leather. The 16 inch and above use dark brown leather, and the 22 inch uses double real leather. Worth knowing before you choose, because the sizes are otherwise the same build.

What is buff willow?

Willow boiled with the bark still on, then stripped. The boiling draws tannin out of the bark and into the rod, which is what gives buff its even golden brown. It is the oldest and most traditional of our finishes.

Which size should I choose for a gift hamper?

The 12 and 14 inch suit a bottle and a few treats. The 16 and 18 inch are the standard hamper sizes and the ones most people buy. The 20, 22 and 24 inch are for a full Christmas or corporate hamper.

Which lining colours are available?

Black, Red, White, Grey Sage and Navy Blue across the range, with Green as an additional option on the 22 inch. Every size can also be left unlined.
