The elegant tweed fitted hamper is a four person wicker picnic hamper in full light steamed willow with real tan leather straps, on a 39 x 26 cm base. It measures 50 x 35 cm, stands 45 cm to the top of the handle and weighs 5.7 kg packed. Inside are settings for four, a wine opener, shakers, a tweed blanket and a chilled compartment.

Most hampers this size carry faux trim. The straps and buckles here are real tan leather. The lid is domed rather than flat, rising from 27.5 cm at the sides to 32 cm at the centre, which is the room a wine glass needs to stand upright. The cutlery is stainless steel rather than plated.

Is the leather real?

Yes. The straps, buckles and carry handle are real tan leather. Most of our fitted hampers use a faux trim, so this is one of the few where it is the genuine article.

Why is the lid domed?

It rises from 27.5 cm at the sides to 32 cm at the centre, which gives the wine glasses in the lid straps room to sit upright. A flat lid at that height would have them lying down.

Is the blanket included?

Yes, a tweed picnic blanket comes with it, along with the chilled compartment. Neither is an extra.

How heavy is it to carry?

5.7 kg packed, before any food goes in. That is a two handed carry from the car rather than something to walk far with.
