This green tweed classic picnic hamper is a light steamed willow hamper with tan faux leather fittings and a green tweed lining, for two, four or six people. The 2 person measures 36 x 26 x 15 cm at 2 kg, the 4 person 41 x 30 x 19 cm at 4.3 kg and the 6 person 51 x 36 x 26 cm at 5.3 kg. Each includes porcelain plates, cutlery, a wine opener and a blanket cut to suit it.

Weight is what separates them. At 2 kg the smallest goes over a shoulder and down a footpath. The 6 person at 5.3 kg is a boot hamper and a short carry from the car.

Which size should I choose?

Weight is the honest answer here rather than dimensions. The 2 person at 2 kg is the one you will actually walk somewhere with. The 4 person at 4.3 kg carries four settings and a 145 x 120 cm blanket. The 6 person at 5.3 kg takes six and a 140 x 145 cm blanket, and is a boot hamper rather than a walking one.

How does it compare with your fitted green tweed hamper?

The fitted hamper is bigger at 40 x 30 cm and 58 x 38 cm, uses real leather straps rather than faux, and its cooler lifts out completely. This classic version is smaller and lighter, and the 2 person is the most carryable fitted hamper we make.
