This 4 person Ravenstor double lidded hamper is a light steamed wicker picnic hamper with tan real leather fittings and a zipped chilled compartment, measuring 48 x 33 x 28 cm, or 40 cm to the top of the handle, and weighing 4.6 kg. It carries four gold rimmed porcelain plates, four wine glasses, stainless steel cutlery, napkins, a wine opener and salt and pepper.

The chilled compartment zips shut rather than lifting out, so cold things stay separated from the rest of the load inside the hamper. At 4.6 kg empty this is twice the weight of the two person Ravenstor, and at 48 x 33 x 28 cm it is larger than the two person version.

How heavy is it once it is packed?

It is 4.6 kg empty, before food, drink or ice. That is worth knowing if the picnic involves a walk: this is a hamper for a car boot and a short carry rather than a hike.

How does the chilled compartment work?

It is a zipped insulated section inside the hamper rather than a bag that lifts out. Cold things go in cold and it slows them warming up. Use icepacks for a long day.

Why two lids?

The handle runs across the centre and each lid opens to one side of it, so you can get at half the hamper while the other half stays shut and while the hamper is still in your hand.

How is it different from the two person Ravenstor?

Size, settings and cooling. This is 48 x 33 x 28 cm against 40 x 29 cm, carries four settings rather than two, adds napkins and salt and pepper, and has the zipped chilled compartment the two person version does not.
