This antique wash wicker storage basket is a split willow basket with integral handles and a removable cotton polyester lining, in three sizes or as a set of all three. The small is 30 x 18 x 14 cm at 200 g, the medium 35 x 25 x 15 cm at 300 g, and the large 43 x 32 x 16 cm at 600 g.

Split willow is the difference between this and our full willow storage baskets: the rods are cut lengthways before weaving, so the strands are finer and the finish closer. These are also the shallower of the two ranges at 14 to 16 cm deep. Every size comes lined.

How is this different from your storage basket in four sizes?

Weave and depth. This one is split willow, which gives a finer, closer weave, and it comes lined as standard in three sizes at 14 to 16 cm deep. The other is full willow in four sizes, 17 to 23 cm deep, with the lining as an optional extra.

What is split willow?

Willow rods cut lengthways before weaving, so each strand is flatter and finer than a whole round rod. The result is a tighter surface than full willow gives.

Can I buy the sizes separately?

Yes. Small, medium and large are sold individually, or as a set of all three.

Does the lining come out?

Yes. It is a cotton polyester blend, it lifts out and it washes. Let it dry fully before it goes back in.
