How big is it?

Larger than you might expect: 56 x 45 cm across the top. It has been sold as a small basket because it sits against our tall lidded hampers rather than because it is small in absolute terms, so go by the measurements rather than the name.

Why is the base so much narrower than the top?

That is the traditional wash basket shape. The wide mouth is for getting washing in and out without aiming, and the narrow base is for keeping the footprint down and the weight low, which matters on a bathroom floor.

Does the lining come out?

Yes. It is cotton, removable and machine washable. Put it back once it is completely dry.

Is there a lidded version?

Not of this shape. If you want the washing out of sight, our lidded hampers do that job; if you would rather it had air around it, an open basket like this one is the better answer.
