This vintage star cut-out box is a lidded wooden storage box with a star shape cut through each end as a hand hold. The small measures 30 x 20 x 16 cm and weighs 600 g, the large 35 x 25 x 19 cm and 900 g, and the two together 1.5 kg. Both take toys, hobby kit or cosmetics, with the lid lifting clear.

Every variant here is supplied lidded, and the lid comes away completely instead of hinging. Our Silver Star Cut-Out Wooden Box matches the small exactly at 30 x 20 x 16 cm but weighs 700 g and is painted rather than vintage finished.

Is there an unlidded version?

Not in this range. Both sizes carry our supplier's lidded codes. If an open crate suits better, our Vintage Heart Cut-Out Wooden Crate is sold with or without a lid.

How does it differ from the silver star box?

The small here and the silver box share a 30 x 20 x 16 cm body. This one carries a vintage finish at 600 g; the silver box is painted and comes in 100 g heavier.

Does the lid sit flush or overhang?

Our supplier records a detached lid without saying how it sits on the rim. Email us and we will look at one before you order.

How much more does the large hold?

The large adds 5 cm of length, 5 cm of width and 3 cm of height over the small, which is a little over half again in volume, and it weighs 300 g more empty.
