Oak Effect Planter With Plastic Lining
This oak effect planter with plastic lining measures 22.5 x 14 x 12 cm and weighs 300 g, with a rigid plastic liner fitted inside an oak effect wooden body. Heart shapes are cut into the front and back panels as hand holds. It takes a small potted plant, a pot of herbs or a run of tealights on a windowsill.
A plastic liner sits between damp compost and the wood, which our supplier otherwise records as untreated. We have not published a figure for how the timber holds up left outdoors through a winter, because that depends on how exposed the spot is. Is the liner watertight?
Our supplier records it as a plastic lining without giving a watertightness rating, so we would not fill it with standing water. Plant into a pot and drop the pot in, or line the plastic with a saucer.
What size pot will 22.5 x 14 cm take?
The internal opening is a little under those outside figures. A single 12 cm pot sits in comfortably, and two small herb pots will go in side by side along the length. Send us the pot diameter and we will check.
