This mini bowl is a small woven willow dish, 12 cm across and 6 cm deep, weighing 50 g. It is made from full light steamed willow with no lining and no lid. Set by a front door or on a desk it works as a wicker key bowl, holding keys, coins, rings and loose change.

The willow is unsealed and our supplier does not record the bowl as food safe, so it takes dry items. There is no lining, no frame and no fixing inside, just the weave, which is what brings it in at 50 g.

Is 12 cm big enough for a set of car keys?

A car key and fob sit in easily, with room for a second set alongside. It is 6 cm deep, so nothing rolls back out.

Can it hold nuts or sweets?

Not loose. Our supplier does not record it as food safe and the willow is unsealed, so use a paper case or a small dish inside it if it is going on a table.

Does it sit flat on a table?

It has a woven base rather than feet. A hand-woven base can rock very slightly on a hard surface, which settles once there is something in the bowl.

What does light steamed mean?

The rods are steamed before weaving, which softens them for working and takes the colour to a warm mid-brown. It is a lighter treatment than the double steaming we use elsewhere in the range.
