Steaming brings willow to an even warm brown, and that colour goes through it rather than sitting on the surface the way a paint or a wash would. This is a small oval basket in full double steamed willow with a fixed handle over the top. One size, sold unlined, with a plain white cotton lining, or with a Garden Rose cotton and polyester floral.

A few groceries, cut flowers, an Easter hunt or a made up gift is the sort of load it takes. Either lining covers the bare weave inside and lifts out to wash.

What separates the White lining from the Garden Rose?

The White is plain cotton. The Garden Rose is a cotton and polyester floral print. Both are removable and both weigh the same.

Is 30 x 25 cm big enough for a weekly shop?

Does the lining change the outside measurements?

No. The 30 x 25 x 13 cm figures are the willow, lined or not. Only the weight changes, by 50 g.

What happens if it gets wet?

Willow is unsealed, so it will take up water and may mark or warp as it dries. Pat it dry, take any lining out and let it dry away from direct heat.
