Is it solid oak?

No. It is wood with a vintage oak effect finish, distressed to give the aged look. We would rather say so plainly than let the photographs suggest otherwise.

Can I use it outside?

For a day, at a market stall or an event, yes. It is not a treated outdoor product, so it should not be left out in rain or stood on wet ground for any length of time.

Do they stack or nest?

They nest. The three sizes step up by roughly 4 cm in length and 2 cm in depth, so the small sits inside the medium and the medium inside the large when they are empty.

How does it compare with the Distressed White Rope Handled Crate?

That one is shallower, at 14 to 18 cm against 20 to 24 cm here, lighter, and finished in white wash rather than dark oak effect. This is the deeper, heavier crate of the two.
