Leaving the bark on the willow is what makes each of these different: colour runs from green through red to warm brown depending on how it grew, so no two trays are alike. It is round, with a wide woven rim, in three sizes or as a set of all three.

The low sides keep trinkets and jewellery from rolling off the smallest, while the biggest takes kitchenware or a craft project left out mid-job. Bark is not a surface for loose food, so use a cloth or a liner if bread or fruit is going in.

Why is it multicoloured?

Because the bark has not been stripped off. Willow vary in colour as they grow, from green through to deep red-brown, and leaving the bark on keeps all of that rather than reducing it to one even tone.

Will mine look like the photograph?

Close, but not identical. The balance of green, red and brown differs from tray to tray because the willow do. That is the nature of unpeeled willow rather than a fault, and it is worth knowing before it arrives.

Which size should I choose?

Five centimetres separate each size. The small at 20 cm is a trinket or jewellery tray. The medium is the general-purpose one. The large at 30 cm holds fruit, kitchenware or a craft project in progress.

Can I put food in it?

Bread and dry wrapped items with a cloth underneath. Bark is not a surface to put loose food directly onto, so use a liner if food is going in.
