Antique Wash Wicker Vertical Weave Display Basket
This antique wash vertical weave display basket is a willow display basket with a sloped front, measuring 41 x 24 cm and standing 19 cm at the back falling to 9 cm at the front, at 400 g. It is used for retail display, baked goods, cards and gifts.
The 10 cm drop from back to front is the point of the shape: stock at the back sits higher than stock at the front, so a full basket is visible all the way through rather than only the top layer. Vertical weave means the rods run up the sides rather than around them, which is what gives the basket its ribbed face.

Why is the back taller than the front?
So the contents tier. With 19 cm at the back and 9 cm at the front, what is behind sits above what is in front of it, which is how a display basket shows a full load rather than just the top of it.
What is vertical weave?
The rods run up the sides rather than being woven round them, so the surface reads as vertical ribs. It is a different look from the banded weave on most of our storage baskets.
Is it suitable for a shop counter?
Yes, that is what it is built for. At 41 x 24 cm it takes a counter's depth without dominating it, and at 400 g it lifts easily for restocking or cleaning underneath.
Can I put food in it?
