A rectangular willow carrier with a zipped chilled compartment built into the body of the basket, a cream fabric lining and a swing handle. The willow is finished in antique wash.

Building the cool section in, rather than dropping a bag inside, means it cannot shift about or take the space meant for the food. Insulation slows warming rather than cooling anything down, so chill what goes in and add a freezer block for a longer day out. Picnics, beaches and bottles carried to a park. Leave it open to air before it is put away.

FAQs

How long will it keep things cold?

A few hours rather than all day, and that depends on the weather and on what you put in. Insulation slows heat getting in; it does not chill anything itself. Cool everything beforehand and use a freezer block if you are out past lunch.

Is the willow waterproof?

No. Willow is not waterproof and should not be left out in rain or stood on wet ground. The chilled compartment inside is a sealed liner, so condensation from a cold bottle stays in there rather than soaking the basketwork.

Will a wine bottle stand up in it?

Yes. The basket is 33 cm tall and a standard bottle is around 30 cm, so it stands upright with the handle clear above it.

Does it come with ice packs?

No, the basket only. A standard freezer block lies flat in the base of the chilled compartment.
