This heart is an open ring rather than a filled shape: grey wash split willow woven onto a metal frame and hung on jute string. The grey wash sits cooler than a brown-toned willow, which is what makes it work against white and pale grey walls. It comes in small, medium and large.

The small is light enough for a pin or an adhesive strip and is the usual pick for a door. The medium wants a proper picture hook behind it. Both suit a wall or a stairwell, and both are common for wedding and event dressing.

How big is the large, really?

60 cm across and 57 cm tall, which is wider than most pictures. It needs a wall to itself. If you want something for a front door, the small at 27 cm is the usual choice.

How do I hang the large one?

It comes on jute string, and at 800 g that will hold on a proper picture hook or a screw. A pin or an adhesive strip is fine for the small at 100 g, but not for this one.

How does it differ from your antique wash hearts?

Colour and size. This is a grey wash, which reads cool against pale walls; our antique wash hearts are warmer and brown-toned, and none of them go beyond 30 cm across.

Is it solid or open in the middle?

Open, like a wreath. If you want a heart woven solid through the middle, that is our Full Antique Wash Wicker Heart.
