This grey chiller basket is a full antique wash willow carrier with a chiller compartment, a 600D PVC waterproof cover and a picnic blanket included. It measures 40 x 19 x 34 cm and weighs 1.9 kg, with grey faux leather straps and a swing handle.

The waterproof cover is what separates it from our other cooler baskets. Willow is not waterproof, so a cover that pulls over the top is the difference between packing up when it rains and carrying on. The blanket comes with it rather than as an extra, which makes this the one to buy if you are starting from nothing.

What does the waterproof cover actually do?

It goes over the top of the basket and keeps rain off the contents while you are carrying it. It is not a guarantee against a soaking: willow underneath is still willow, so get it under shelter rather than leaving it out.

What size is the blanket?

It is the family-sized rug that ships with the basket rather than a separate product, so we do not list it under its own dimensions. Email us if the exact size matters before you order.

How heavy is it?

1.9 kg empty, with the cover and the blanket. That is double the weight of our plain cooler baskets, which is the price of what comes with it.

Will bottles stand up in it?

Yes. At 34 cm tall it takes a standard 30 cm wine bottle upright with the straps still able to close over the top.
