This white wash wicker laundry basket is a lidded square willow hamper with a removable cotton lining, in two sizes or as a set of both, with a choice of three lining fabrics. The small measures 33 x 33 x 50 cm at 1.7 kg; the large is 46 x 46 x 61 cm at 3.8 kg. Lining comes in Garden Rose, White Cotton or Grey Sage.

The lining choice is the reason to come here rather than to our plain white-lined version. A laundry basket is one of the few pieces of storage that sits out in a bathroom all day, so the fabric inside it does as much work as the willow outside. Garden rose is a floral print, grey sage a soft green, white the plainest of the three. All lift out and wash, and the white wash finish keeps the willow pale enough to suit a bathroom rather than a utility.

Which size takes a household's washing?

The large at 46 x 46 cm and 61 cm tall is the family bathroom size. The small at 33 x 33 cm and 50 cm tall suits one or two people, or a bedroom corner. The set of two is the simplest way to separate darks from lights.

How is this different from your white-lined version?

Same basket, same two sizes. There is a choice of three lining fabrics. If you know you want plain white, our white-lined version is the one to go to.

Will it take a wet towel?

Briefly, but no lidded basket likes damp left in it. Take the lining out and let it dry if something goes in wet, which is exactly why the lining is removable.

How much room does the lid need above it?

The lid is hinged and lifts back, so allow clearance behind the basket as well as above it. Under a sloping ceiling or a low shelf, measure from the back edge upwards.
