This antique wash round linen basket is a willow laundry basket with a detached lid, integral handles and a handle on the lid, in two sizes or as a set of both. The small stands 50 cm tall and the large 60 cm, with the set weighing 3.4 kg. Each comes with a removable cotton lining in white, garden rose or grey sage.

The lid lifts off rather than hinging back, and it has its own handle, so it can be set aside one-handed while the other arm holds a wash basket. Integral handles in the body do the carrying. The lining is a cotton polyester blend rather than plain cotton.

How is this different from your corner laundry basket?

Shape. This one is a full round and stands anywhere; the corner basket is a quarter-round built to fill the corner of a room. The corner version has a hinged lid, this one a lift-off lid with its own handle.

Does the lining come out?

Yes, in all sizes. It lifts out and washes, then goes back once it is fully dry.

Does the lid stay on when it is carried?

It is a lift-off lid rather than a hinged one, so it sits on rather than fastening. Carry the basket by the integral handles in the body and keep the lid level.
