Antique Wash Wicker Kew Garden Trug in 2 Sizes
The Wicker Kew Trug is a long, shallow garden trug in full antique wash willow, in two sizes: 57 x 27 x 8 cm and 66 x 36 x 11 cm. They weigh 800 g and 1 kg, stand 24 cm and 30 cm to the handle, and take cut flowers, vegetables or a row of seed trays.
At 66 cm along the base the large is the longest trug we sell, and at 11 cm one of the shallowest, so an armful of long stems lies flat instead of folding at the end. Antique wash gives the willow the greyed, weathered colour it arrives in. These are the heaviest trugs in our range at 800 g and 1 kg.

What makes it a Kew trug?
Kew describes the shape rather than the material: a long, shallow, flat-bottomed basket with a high arched handle, of the kind traditionally carried through a walled kitchen garden. The willow itself is full antique wash willow.
What is the antique wash finish?
A colour treatment applied to the willow that leaves it greyed and softly mottled rather than the honey or brown of buff and steamed willow. It is the same finish we use on our antique wash storage range.
Why are these heavier than your other trugs?
More willow, over a longer body. The medium is 57 cm at 800 g where our unpeeled trug is 44 cm at 400 g, so you are carrying more basket before anything goes in it.
Is the medium long enough for dahlias?
At 57 cm along the base it takes most garden cuts lying flat. Long-stemmed dahlias and delphiniums are better in the large, which gives 66 cm and an extra 9 cm of width.
