This vintage heart cut-out crate is a wooden storage crate with a heart cut through each end as a hand hold, in two sizes, with a lid offered as a paid option. The small is 30 x 20 x 15 cm at 400 g and the large 35 x 25 x 18 cm at 600 g. They hold toys, wool and craft materials.

Sizes and the heart motif here match our Oak Effect Heart Cut-Out Wooden Box exactly, leaving the vintage colour as the difference between the two ranges. Adding a lid raises each size by a centimetre of height and by 200 to 300 g.

What does adding a lid change?

A centimetre of height and a step up in weight: the small goes from 400 g to 600 g and the large from 600 g to 900 g. The crate itself is unchanged underneath.

Is the vintage finish the same as the oak effect?

They are two separate ranges with the same dimensions. Our supplier names one vintage and the other oak effect, so expect a colour difference rather than a build one.

Does the set of two include lids?

Both versions exist. The unlidded pair weighs 1 kg and the lidded pair 1.5 kg, and the two are priced separately.

Are the hearts cut on the long sides or the ends?

On the ends, where they work as hand holds when the crate is lifted. Our supplier records them as integral handles.
