These grey rattan log baskets are shallow oval storage baskets woven from Indonesian kubu rattan, with a rope handle stitched to each end. They run from 36 x 32 x 18 cm at 800 g to 58 x 50 x 38 cm at 2.7 kg, sold singly or as a set of three, and take logs, kindling, folded throws or a potted fern.

Lining material changes with size here: our manufacturer fits green Cordura to the small and hessian to the medium and large. Cordura is a woven nylon that wipes clean; hessian is jute, brushed or shaken out. The medium carries a 44 x 37 cm base and the large a 55 x 46 cm base.

What is Cordura?

A woven nylon fabric, tightly constructed and smooth on the face. Bark dust and grit sit on top of it and wipe away with a damp cloth.

Which of the three suits a fireplace?

The large, at 58 x 50 cm with a 38 cm depth, is the one sized for logs. The small at 18 cm deep is closer to a table or shelf basket.

Do the three sizes sit inside one another?
