These rectangular straight-sided trays are woven in full buff willow in three sizes: 31 x 21 x 6 cm, 35 x 25 x 8 cm and 39 x 30 x 10 cm. Unlined they weigh 150 g, 250 g and 400 g, and each size can be ordered with a removable cotton lining. They hold cutlery, toiletries and desk stationery.

The sides rise vertically from the base, so the rim measurement and the base measurement are the same and a full tray slides into a drawer or under a shelf without wasted space at the bottom. Adding the cotton lining puts 100 g to 200 g onto each size.

Will the small fit in a kitchen drawer?

At 31 x 21 x 6 cm it goes into most standard 500 mm drawer boxes lengthways. Measure the internal depth of your drawer first, since 6 cm plus the contents is what has to clear the runner above.

Straight sides or tapered ones?

Straight sides give you the full footprint at the base, which matters in a drawer or a cupboard. Our Antique Wash Wicker Tapered Tray leans its walls outwards instead, which shows the contents better in the open.

What gives buff willow its colour?

Willow that has been boiled with its bark on, then stripped. The tannin in the bark colours the rod as it boils, which is where the even honey tone comes from.

Can the cotton lining be taken out?

Yes. It is a separate liner rather than a fixed one, so it lifts out to be shaken or washed cool and dried flat.
