This round laundry basket is hand-woven from kubu grey rattan, with a removable blacu cotton lining inside it. The sides run straight from the base to the rim. Both sizes stand taller than they are wide, and they can be bought singly or as a set of two.

A circle loses the corners, so it takes less floor than a square basket of the same stated width and clears a door swing more easily. The lining keeps damp fabric off the cane and stops zips catching in the weave, and it comes out to wash.

• Two sizes, 33 cm across by 50 cm tall and 46 cm across by 60 cm tall

• Round footprint, straight sided from base to rim

Please allow for 5% variation in size due to handmade nature of the product.

FAQs

Does it come with a lid?

It is sold without a lid. Email us before you order and we will check a basket and tell you.

How much washing does each size take?

The large is 46 cm across and 60 cm deep, which is a family's day of washing or two full machine loads. The small at 33 by 50 cm suits one person or a spare room. Both figures are estimates from the dimensions rather than measured loads.

What is the lining for?

It keeps damp fabric off the rattan and stops buttons and zips catching in the weave. It is removable, so it comes out to be washed on a cool cycle.

Round or square for a small bathroom?

Round loses the corners, so it slides past a door swing more easily. Square gives you more volume for the same stated width and sits flatter against a wall. Our Antique Wash Wicker Square Laundry Basket is the square option.
