A single oval basket in seagrass, woven onto a metal frame coated in green plastic before the fibre goes on. The handle arches over the middle and is formed from the frame itself, so the sides do not draw in when it is lifted full. One size, unlined, the weave visible inside and out.

It is a small basket for a tabletop or a shelf: a potted plant stood in it with a saucer underneath, tea caddies and kitchen sachets, or something to fill and give. Keep compost and water out, since nothing inside is waterproof.

FAQs

Does the 11 cm height include the handle?

No. The basket body is 11 cm deep and the handle takes the overall height to 27 cm. We measure the basket and give handle height separately.

Will it take a potted plant?

Stand a potted plant inside it, with a saucer under the pot. There is no plastic or waterproof liner in this basket, so do not put compost or water straight in.

Why is the metal frame plastic coated?

The metal frame is coated in plastic before the seagrass is woven onto it, so the metal is covered rather than bare.

What can I fit inside it?

The opening is 22 x 17 cm and 11 cm deep. That takes a 13 cm plant pot, a box of teabags with room around it, or a rolled flannel and a couple of soaps.
