This square seagrass tray set is three trays in one box, woven over a green metal frame in sizes 14.5 x 14.5 x 7 cm, 18 x 18 x 8 cm and 22 x 22 x 9 cm. The set weighs 1 kg unlined or 1.1 kg lined, and works as bathroom storage for toiletries, jewellery and desk clutter.

A green metal frame runs inside the weave on all three trays and holds the square corners. The cotton lining lifts out and is a separate option, so the same three trays come lined or bare. Our Rectangular Seagrass Small Trays use the same frame in a longer footprint.

What are the small and medium trays for?

The 14.5 cm square takes rings, hair grips and earrings, the 18 cm takes cotton wool pads, soaps and small jars, and the 22 cm takes a folded flannel or a run of skincare bottles.

Is the lined version worth the extra?

It is if the contents are small, loose or light coloured. Cotton stops grit dropping through the weave and gives a flat base to a shallow tray. If you are holding jars, tins or cables, the unlined set does the same job.

Will they survive a bathroom?

Seagrass is unsealed, so it will not take standing water or a wet windowsill. A normal bathroom with an extractor or an open window is fine.

Should I buy these or the rectangular seagrass trays?
