Two widths of the same heart, and they are not the same willow. The slim is full grey wash willow on a metal hoop, cooler in tone, with a red spotty ribbon that lifts off. The wide is split antique wash willow wound around a metal frame, warmer and browner, with the ribbon fixed. Both carry a metal hoop at the top.

The willow is unsealed on both, so these are indoor pieces: an internal door, a wall, a bannister or a large tree. Choose on tone and band width rather than size, since the two are close.

• Slim: 26.5 x 2 x 27 cm, 100 g, full grey wash willow
• Wide: 29 x 5 x 29 cm, 200 g, split antique wash willow on a metal frame
• Metal hoop at the top of both sizes
• Red spotty ribbon, removable on the slim version
• Willow is unsealed, so both are indoor decorations
• Suits an internal door, a wall, a bannister or a large tree

The process of basket weaving with willow is naturally sustainable due to the relatively quick growth of the plant fibres. The artisans use traditional weaving methods and techniques to create highly decorative pieces.

FAQs

Which willow am I getting?

The slim is full grey wash willow, a cooler grey. The wide is split antique wash willow wound onto a metal frame, which is warmer and browner. It is worth knowing before you choose one.

Does the ribbon come off?

On the slim version the ribbon lifts off the hoop. On the wide version it is a fixed ribbon detail, so ask us first if you plan to change it.

Why is the wide one twice the weight?

It carries more willow. The band is 5 cm across against 2 cm on the slim, and it is built up around a metal frame rather than hooped.

How does it compare with the Antique Wash Wicker Heart Wreath?

That one is a single size at 24 x 4 x 24 cm and 100 g, so it is smaller than either of these two and sits between them for band width.
