A zipped chilled compartment is built into the body of this two person picnic hamper, which is woven in full antique wash willow with grey faux leather fittings. It stands taller than it is wide, and carries by a handle over the top.

Packed for two: plastic plates, acrylic wine glasses, white handled knives, forks and spoons, a bottle opener and salt and pepper shakers. Plastic and acrylic do not chip on sand or shingle, so beaches, boats and festivals are where it belongs. The height makes it a bottle carrier as much as a picnic hamper.

Height. This is 36 cm deep and 51 cm to the handle; that one is 24 cm deep and 40 cm to the handle. The contents are the same, so the choice is whether you want to carry tall and narrow or low and wide.

Does the chilled compartment come out?

No, it is a zipped section built into the hamper rather than a bag that lifts out. Cold things go in cold and it slows them warming. Wipe it out and leave it unzipped to dry.

Why plastic plates and acrylic glasses?

Because of where it goes. Neither chips on sand or shingle, and both weigh less than porcelain and glass, which matters on a hamper already at 2 kg empty.

What size bottles fit?
