Woven onto a square base in full antique wash willow, with rope handles at two sides and a loose hessian liner. Three sizes, sold singly or as a set of three.

Square corners sit flat against a wall and waste less of an alcove than a round basket does. The biggest is a true cube, while the smaller two stand a little taller than they are wide, which suits folded blankets or a load of logs more than it suits a shelf. Lift them with both hands when they are full.

Do the three sizes nest inside each other?

We do not make that claim. Size 1 is 30 x 30 cm and Size 2 is 40 x 40 cm, so the measurements allow it, but we have not nested a set ourselves and the rope handles may get in the way. Email us and we will try it with a set before you order.

What is hessian?

A coarse cloth woven from jute. It is the toughest lining we fit, it keeps bark and dust inside the basket, and it brushes or shakes clean.

Which size takes a folded duvet?

We have not measured a duvet into one, because the fold and the tog vary too much to publish a figure. Size 3 gives the most room at 50 x 50 x 50 cm. Send us your duvet size and we will fold one into a basket here.

Do the rope handles come off?

No. They are worked through the weave when the basket is made, so they stay put. Lift the larger sizes with both hands when they are full.
