This unpeeled willow round tray is a willow tray with the bark left on, in three sizes or as a set of all three. The small is 20 cm across and 7 cm deep at 100 g, the medium 25 x 8 cm at 200 g, and the large 30 x 9 cm at 300 g. It holds trinkets, kitchenware and craft supplies.

The bark is what makes it. Rods vary in colour as they grow, so a single tray runs through greens, reds and warm browns, and no two trays match. A wide woven rim finishes the edge, and at 7 to 9 cm deep the sides hold small things in.

Why is it multicoloured?

Because the bark has not been stripped off. Willow rods vary in colour as they grow, from green through to deep red-brown, and leaving the bark on keeps all of that rather than reducing it to one even tone.

Will mine look like the photograph?

Close, but not identical. The balance of green, red and brown differs from tray to tray because the rods do. That is the nature of unpeeled willow rather than a fault, and it is worth knowing before it arrives.

Which size should I choose?

Five centimetres separate each size. The small at 20 cm is a trinket or jewellery tray. The medium is the general-purpose one. The large at 30 cm holds fruit, kitchenware or a craft project in progress.

Can I put food in it?

Bread and dry wrapped items with a cloth underneath. Bark is not a surface to put loose food directly onto, so use a liner if food is going in.
