This wooden serving tray is made from pine, measuring 41 x 33 cm with sides 6 cm high and a 39 x 30.5 cm base, and weighs 700 g. Hand holds are cut through the walls at each end. It carries tea and breakfast to a table, and works as a wooden desk organiser between meals.

The base is only 2 cm narrower than the rim, so the walls are close to vertical and a mug stands where you put it instead of sliding to the middle. Solid pine also means the surface takes a wipe, which nothing woven in our tray range will do.

What wood is it, and what is the finish?

Our supplier records it as pine. The finish is not specified on our supplier's sheet, so we make no claim for the colour. Email us and we will check the batch before you order.

Can I put wet glasses on it?

Wipe spills as they happen. We have no waterproofing figure for the finish, so treat it as you would any wooden tray rather than as a sealed surface.

Will it hold a full tea service?

A teapot, two mugs, a milk jug and a plate sit inside the 39 x 30.5 cm base with room to lift it. The hand holds are cut through the wall itself, so there is nothing to snap off.

Can I use it outdoors?

Keep it indoors. Pine left out in the weather swells, splits and greys, and this tray has no protective coating recorded against it.
