This vintage heart cut-out tray is a shallow wooden tray with a heart cut through each end for lifting. The small measures 33 x 23 x 9 cm at 300 g, the large 38 x 28 x 10 cm at 400 g, and the pair together comes to 700 g. Both sit on a desk, a dressing table or a worktop as a wooden serving tray for small items.

The sides rise 9 cm on the small and 10 cm on the large, enough to stop items sliding off without hiding them. Our Shallow Heart Cut-Out Tray is shallower at 4 to 7 cm, and our Vintage Heart Cut-Out Wooden Crate deeper at 15 to 18 cm.

Is the finish white or grey?

We record the finish as white wash. Our supplier sheet records the material as wood without naming a finish, so email us and we will look at a tray before you order.

Do the sides stop things sliding off?

They rise 9 cm on the small and 10 cm on the large, which holds keys, post and jars in place on a flat carry. It is a tray rather than a crate, so nothing is enclosed.

What do I save buying the pair?

The set of two is priced below the two trays bought singly. The trays themselves are the same, at 33 x 23 x 9 cm and 38 x 28 x 10 cm.

Can hot pans go on it?

No. The wood is unsealed and our supplier gives no heat rating, so we would keep hot pans off it and use a trivet.
