These wicker packaging trays come in three sizes, from 39 x 25.5 x 12 cm at 350 g up to a jumbo at 50 x 36 x 16 cm and 900 g. They are woven in full willow for building gift hampers, presenting produce and holding a made-up set together.

These are built to be filled and given away rather than kept. Twelve to sixteen centimetres of depth is enough to stand bottles and jars up in rather than lay them flat, which is the difference between a hamper that presents and one that only holds. All three sizes take our heat shrinkable cellophane bags over the top.

Which size for a gift hamper?

The large at 39 x 25.5 cm suits a set of jars or a few boxed items. The jumbo at 50 x 36 cm takes bottles with room around them. Most people building a mixed hamper end up on the jumbo.

Will a wine bottle stand up in one?

No, and none of the three is meant to. At 12 to 16 cm deep a 30 cm bottle stands proud of the rim, which is the usual way a hamper is styled: the bottle shows, the cellophane goes over the top.

Do the cellophane bags fit?

Our heat shrinkable cellophane bags are 40 x 47 cm with a 25 cm gusset and go over all three sizes. Allow for the gather at the top once the tray is loaded.

Are they lined?

No, these are bare willow. Shredded paper is the usual filler, and it does the job of a lining while adding the lift that makes a tray present well.
