White wash is the palest of the willow finishes, and it runs across the whole shell here, with white faux leather hinges and buckles and handle holes cut into both ends. It is sold bare or with a removable cotton lining in white, black, grey sage, navy blue or red.

Filling it is the point, so the lining decides most of the look: white and grey sage where the contents should stand out, black or navy where the basket later holds cables, paperwork or desk clutter. Storage and retail packaging are what it gets bought for.

What fits in a 14 inch?

The internal space is a little under 36 x 26 cm and 15 cm deep. That takes a bottle lying down with room beside it, or a few boxed items standing up. For a hamper with bottles upright you want the 18 inch at 46 x 30 x 19 cm.

Do the other finishes measure the same?

Yes. The white wash, antique wash and double steamed 14 inch baskets are all 36 x 26 x 15 cm, so they pack and post identically if you are ordering a mix.

Does the lining come out?

Yes, all five colours are removable cotton or a cotton and polyester mix. Taking it out drops the basket from 700 g to 600 g, which can matter on a large postal run.
