What is the grey border made from?

Twisted paper cord, dyed grey and woven as a band around the top edge. It is a dry fibre in the same way the hyacinth is, so it asks nothing different of you in the way of care.

How does this differ from your plain water hyacinth rectangular basket?

Only the rim. The measurements match to the centimetre across all three sizes and so does the weave. Take this one if you want the grey line, and the plain version if you would rather have hyacinth on its own.

Is it deep enough for towels and books?

At 19 to 23 cm, yes, two or three deep. If you want things laid out in a single layer instead, our shallow hyacinth basket is 9 to 12 cm. If you want depth for blankets, the square one is 29 to 32 cm.

How do I look after it?

Brush the weave through or run a vacuum over it on a low setting. Keep it away from standing water, and if it does get damp, let it dry in open air rather than on a radiator.
