Two place settings come packed inside this antique wash willow hamper: porcelain plates, white handled cutlery and a bottle opener, on a cotton lining, behind cream faux leather straps and a buckle. It is sold plain or with the chiller.

The chiller version adds a removable cooler bag with its own carrying handle, so cold food travels separately and comes out with the bag. There are no glasses in the fittings, which leaves most of the interior free for food: lunch for two rather than a spread.

FAQs

Does it include glasses?

No. This is the two person size, and it carries plates, cutlery and a bottle opener only. Our larger fitted hampers add wine glasses, napkins and salt and pepper.

Is the chiller worth it?

It depends on how far you are going. The cooler bag lifts out and has its own handle, so it can be packed at home and carried separately, or filled and dropped into the hamper on the day. If the picnic is in the garden, the plain version is enough.

How much food will it hold?

The fittings take up less room here than in a larger hamper because there are fewer of them, so most of the 36 x 26 cm interior stays free. It suits lunch for two rather than a spread.

How should I look after it?

Wash the plates and cutlery as normal, wipe the cooler out, and let the willow dry fully before it goes away. The cotton lining lifts out.
