A rectangular lidded trunk in full antique wash willow, with a rope handle at each end and leather straps running to a buckle. Two sizes, 24 inch and 28 inch: the smaller is trimmed in cream faux leather, the larger in double real leather. Each comes unlined or with a removable cotton lining in white, navy blue, grey sage or black.

Long and low in proportion, so it sits at the foot of a bed or under a window and takes bedding and seasonal clothes. White lining shows the contents, darker colours hide marks, unlined brushes out.

No, and it is the main thing separating them beyond size. The 24 inch is trimmed in cream faux leather; the 28 inch uses real leather, which is part of why it costs more.

Which size should I choose?

The 24 inch at 62 x 40 x 29 cm suits a single room or the end of a double bed. The 28 inch at 72 x 50 x 34 cm is a serious piece of furniture and holds roughly half as much again.

Which lining should I choose?

White shows the contents and suits bedding. Navy, black and grey sage hide marks, which matters more if the trunk is being opened and closed daily. Unlined is the cheapest and easiest to brush out.

How should I look after it?

Keep it indoors and dry. Lift the lining out to wash rather than putting the trunk near water, and let willow air properly if it ever gets damp.
