This antique wash wicker log basket is a hessian lined willow basket available in two sizes or as a set of both, with handles cut into the sides rather than arching over the top. The small measures 47 x 28 x 25 cm and weighs 900 g; the large is 55 x 34 x 33 cm at 1.5 kg. Both take logs and kindling by a fire, and double as storage for blankets, towels or toys.

A rectangular basket sits flush against a chimney breast in a way a round one never manages, and that is the argument for this one. Straight sides mean logs stack instead of rolling, and because nothing protrudes from the sides it can be pushed back against a wall or slid under a shelf.
