Green tweed cloth, woven from cotton and polyester, over a PVC lining: a picnic cooler for the cold half of a lunch. Two zips open it from either side, and the handle is sewn into the lid.

Wide and shallow in form, it travels in the base of a hamper, a rucksack or a boot. Cool the food and drink before it goes in, and add a freezer block on a hot day. The lining takes a damp cloth and should be left open to dry.

How long will it keep things cold?

A few hours rather than a day, depending on the weather and on what goes in. Insulation slows heat getting in; it does not chill anything. Cool everything first and add a freezer block for a longer day.

Which size should I choose?

The large if things need to lie flat, because at 14 cm deep it will not stand much upright. The small at 16 cm deep takes bottles and jars standing, and drops inside a hamper more easily.

Will it fit inside a hamper?

The small will go into most of ours. The large at 37 x 27 cm needs one of the bigger hampers, so check the internal base measurement of yours before ordering rather than the outside dimensions.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the lining out with a damp cloth and leave it open to dry. It does not go in the washing machine.
