Which version should I choose?

The Regular version suits a basket that will usually stay in one place. Choose the Wheeled version if being able to reposition it around the room would be useful, allowing for your floor surface and any thresholds along the route.

How can I judge whether it will suit my logs?

Consider the length and shape of the logs you normally buy, as well as the space available for the basket. The published measurements describe the overall basket, so they should not be treated as exact internal dimensions or a guaranteed log capacity.

Will the hessian keep every trace of bark off the floor?

The lining helps contain loose material within the weave, but it is sensible to empty out accumulated debris periodically. It should not be treated as a completely dust-tight container.
