Twelve glasses ride in the outer ring of this round, light steamed willow drinks basket, and the centre well holds a zipped chiller lined in green tweed. A handle runs across the top.

Holding the glasses out at the rim leaves the well clear for bottles and ice, and the chiller zips over them so the meltwater stays in the lining. Once the glass is in it is weighty, so it goes out to where the drinks are being served and stays there. Weddings, receptions and summer gatherings in a garden.

The process of basket weaving with willow is naturally sustainable due to the relatively quick growth of the plant fibres. The artisans use traditional weaving methods and techniques to create highly decorative, but durable, pieces.

FAQs

How many bottles will the centre hold?

The well is 30 cm across and 33 cm deep. That is several 75 cl bottles standing up, but it is an estimate and not a count, so treat it as approximate until we load one.

Do the twelve flutes come with it?

Yes, twelve champagne flutes, and they sit in the outer ring rather than in the chilled centre.

How does it differ from the Antique Wash Chilled Garden Party Basket?

Finish and cloth. This one is light steamed willow with a green tweed chiller lining; that one is antique wash. Check its page for its own measurements.

What is the handle made of?

Willow. The basket is full light steamed willow throughout, with the handle carried over the top.
