Split grey wash willow, woven into a raindrop shape: narrow at the base, swelling through the middle, drawing back in at the top. A rope handle sits above it, a glass jar lifts out, and each one arrives in its own transit carton.

Hung from a bracket it throws light out through the weave; stood on a table it works as a centrepiece. The jar coming out means the candle is reachable and the glass washes separately. We use an LED candle in ours. Grey wash is unsealed underneath, so bring it in out of rain.

FAQs

Is it safe with a real candle?

The glass jar is removable. We do not hold a flame rating for the lantern, so we use an LED candle in ours. If a rating matters to you, email us and we will check before you order.

Does the glass jar come out?

Yes. It lifts straight out of the willow case, which is how you get to the candle and how the jar gets washed.

Can it stay out in the rain?

No. The willow is unsealed under the grey wash, so it takes up water and the colour lifts. Hang it out for an evening and bring it in afterwards.

How does it compare with our Small Grey Wash Wicker Candle Lantern?

That one is 35 cm tall, 24 cm at its widest and 1.2 kg. This is 41 cm, 30 cm and 1.8 kg, in the same willow with the same removable jar.
