Antique wash willow, woven into a rectangular storage tray that comes in small, large and extra large, with no medium in between. Each size is sold bare or with a removable cotton and polyester lining, and there is a set of four: two smalls, one large and one extra large.

The depth is the useful part: enough side to keep things from spreading, but not so much that anything buries itself, which is what makes these work on open shelving in a kitchen or a bathroom. The smalls are the ones that end up in drawers.

What exactly is in the set of four?

Two smalls, one large and one extra large. There is no medium in this range. The set weight of 1.3 kg is what those four add up to individually.

Which size should I choose?

The small at 24 x 18 cm suits a drawer, a desk or a bathroom shelf. The large and extra large at 41 and 47 cm long are the kitchen and cupboard sizes. If you want more than one, the set is the cheaper route.

Is the lining worth taking?

For anything small or soft, yes: white cotton covers the weave and stops little things dropping through. Unlined is cheaper and easier to brush out.

Are these trays or baskets?

Between the two. At 12 to 16 cm they have more side than a flat tray, but not enough depth to bury anything, which is what makes them useful on open shelving.
