This white wash wicker open star measures 45 x 5 x 45 cm and weighs 400 g. Split willow is woven onto a metal frame and hung from a jute string on a metal ring, which suits a hanging star decoration over a fireplace or a stairwell.

The middle is left empty, so the five points read against whatever sits behind them. Our White Wash Wicker Full Star is the filled version, 5 cm smaller each way and 100 g lighter. The white is washed into the willow, not painted on as it is on our Hanging White Wicker Angel.

Is this white wash or antique wash?

White wash. Our supplier records split white wash willow. The antique wash star is a separate item.

How is it different from the White Wash Wicker Full Star?

This one is 45 cm across with an empty centre and weighs 400 g. The full star is 40 cm across, filled in, and weighs 300 g.

Can it be fixed to a wall?

It hangs from the jute ring, so a picture hook or a single nail carries it. We would not screw through the willow, as the rods split along the grain.

Is 400 g too much for a Christmas tree?

On a real tree, probably. It is better on a wall, a beam or a curtain pole. Our wooden glitter star set weighs 100 g for three and is the one for branches.
