This vintage wooden storage box features a rectangular body, a separate fitted lid and decorative star-shaped cut-outs at either end. The star openings also function as integrated handholds, while the natural wood finish gives the box a traditional appearance suitable for a variety of household settings.

Designed for organising belongings that are not needed constantly, the lidded construction helps keep smaller items contained and out of sight. Place it on a bedroom shelf for accessories, use it in a study for stationery or introduce it into a playroom to organise suitable toys and craft supplies.

Natural Materials Note: Natural wood grain and finish may vary slightly between boxes. Measurements are approximate.

Are the star-shaped cut-outs actual carrying handles?

Yes. The stars are cut through the wooden end panels, creating openings that can be used as handholds. This gives the box a distinctive decorative appearance while providing a practical way to lift or reposition it. Always support the box appropriately when carrying heavier contents.

Is the lid hinged or completely removable?

The wooden lid is separate rather than attached with hinges. It can be lifted clear of the box, providing access to the full opening. This makes it convenient for adding or removing belongings without needing space behind the container for a hinged lid to open.

What can I store inside a vintage wooden box?

The rectangular interior is suitable for stationery, craft materials, small household accessories and other dry belongings. It can also be used as a decorative organising box on shelves or sideboards, helping keep everyday clutter contained.

How does this differ from a heart cut-out wooden crate?

The main visual difference is the star-shaped detail rather than a heart-shaped opening. This range also includes separate lids, creating a covered storage container. The appropriate design depends on whether you prefer the decorative motif and enclosed appearance.
