Dipped Rim Wicker Log Basket with Hessian Lining
This dipped rim log basket is woven from full antique wash finish willow over an oval base, lined with hessian and fitted with a single rope carry handle. It runs 45 to 50 cm long and 42 cm wide, weighs 1.4 kg empty and reaches 48 cm to the top of the handle, taking logs and kindling as a wicker log carrier.
The rim is cut away at the front, so the wall drops from 36 cm at the back to 20 cm across the opening. Logs go in over the low side without being lifted clear of a full height wall. One rope handle spans the basket rim to rim, quoted at 48 cm fully extended.

Why are two heights given for this basket?
The rim is not level. It measures 36 cm at the back and 20 cm at the front, and both figures are published so you can picture the shape before it arrives.
Does the 48 cm figure include the willow?
No. Dimensions describe the basket, and 48 cm is the height to the top of the rope handle once it is pulled up to its full extension. Let the handle lie flat and the basket is 36 cm at its tallest.
What is the base measurement?
We have not published one, because the cut-away rim means the footprint is quoted as a range instead. Send us the space you need to fill and we will measure a basket flat before you order.
Is the rope handle woven through the rim?
Our supplier records a rope handle on full antique wash willow and does not describe how it is fixed. We will look at one and tell you if the answer matters to you.
